Football Legends, Icons And Heroes From The 90’s

We love the 90’s, it was the best decade ever, and one of the reasons was because of the football…It was AMAZING! :D Serie A was a huge league, one of the best, if not the best league in the world, with giants such as Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Lazio dominating not only in Italy but on a European level. Back in the 1990’s it was the league to be in, and where huge megastars would go. Then there was La Liga; Home to the mighty Barca and Real Madrid, with legends like Romario and Cruyff as well as the British boys like Mark Hughes and Gary Lineker. It brought us Ajax and their infamous youth academy and it’s players who went on to conquer the world. It was the decade where the English Premier League was born, which has gone on to take over the footballing world…The latest TV rights deal is going to bring in £5.1 BILLION! from SKY and BT and that is just in the UK. The Premier League has certainly grown in the last 23 years.

Football has given us many icons, heroes and legends from the past, far too many to name, but we’ve created some really cool football T-Shirts which sport the names of some of the world’s most incredible football players who pulled on their boots in the early and mid nineties.

We’ve printed some of our football heroes on shirts from our favourite teams and seasons gone by. It’s hard to believe that there was a Juventus team which contained Fabrizio Ravanelli, Gianluca Vialli, Alessandro Del Piero and Roberto Baggio! What an attacking lineup that was! Or who can forget the AC Milan team which went an entire season unbeaten in 1991-92 with players like Van Basten, Rijkaard, Gullit, Baresi and Maldini. The Premier League had it’s own stars too; Jack Walker’s millions bought Blackburn the title in 1994-95 with football heroes Shearer, Sutton, Sherwood and Hendry all playing an important role in their title campaign.

There’s no doubt that the 90s was our favourite decade for football, it provided us with so much enjoyment, passion and everything football is about.
